Scones cakes are very popular in the UK and are usually served at breakfast.
450 g flour
1 envelope baking powder
75 g butter
50 g old
200 ml milk
Method of preparation
Prepare a dough from eggs mixed with sugar, milk, butter and flour sifted and mixed with baking powder. You must obtain a homogeneous dough, which you spread out as a sheet.
With the mouth of a glass, cut out small circles of dough, which you put in a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake at 220 degrees for about 12 minutes, until the cakes turn golden. Let the scones cool on a grill, but cover them with a clean kitchen towel to make them soft.
Serves scones cut in half, filled with your favorite jam.
