A Canadian study, quoted by The Star, showed that light weight training can slow the aging process, while also having the ability to restore "atrophied" muscle tissue. Those who remain physically active, American researchers add, will be healthy and mentally healthy. Recent studies in the US have shown that sport can stimulate the production of growth hormones, like insulin, with a tonic role for the nervous system.
